Beyond Oil NYC is a
Sierra Club NYC Campaign

The Sierra Club's national leadership on climate change is well known, as are its efforts to step up municipal climate change response.

Sierra Club NYC, the local chapter of the Sierra Club, aims to accelerate New York City's transition toward sustainability by addressing energy price and supply volatility in energy price and supply, as well as climate change.
Sustainable Energy Independence for NYC is a report written by Dan Miner, Chair of Sierra Club NYC.

Miner is also a volunteer with Post Carbon Institute, a national organization that researches, educates and organizes to accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels.

Mr. Miner serves as Senior Vice President of Long Island City Business Development Corporation, a business services nonprofit in Queens, NYC. (For identification only.  This report does not reflect the positions or activities of that organization.)
He holds a BA in Psychology from New York University, and is a graduate of Cornell Law School and the Coro Leadership New York program.
